When should I arrive?
New clients should arrive no less than 5 minutes before the start of class time. This will give our instructors time to meet you, learn a little bit about you, and give you an overview of the equipment/studio. Do not arrive more than 10 minutes before the start of class time. This will allow the previous class time to exit the studio before the next class comes in.
What should I bring?
There isn’t much you need to bring with you, just yourself, some water, and a pair of sticky socks. We have a water fountain in the studio where you can fill up your empty water bottles and a fridge with disposable water bottles. Sticky socks are required and available for purchase in the studio when you arrive for class (socks start at $12).
What should I wear?
You want to wear clothing you feel comfortable moving in. We will be bending, twisting, and moving in all directions. We ask that you wear clothing that is equipment-friendly. Clothing with metal details or zippers can easily damage the equipment and can be uncomfortable to move in. We ask that you save those pieces for outside the studio.
Most women at our studio wear leggings with a t-shirt or tank top. Joggers, sweatpants, shorts, and any other athletic wear are appropriate for class. Layers that are easy to remove are always a great option. Sometimes class starts cold (especially in the winter) and as we begin to move it heats up. Most men at the studio wear shorts and a t-shirt. If the shorts are looser, a pair of compression shorts or leggings are worn underneath. Sticky socks are required, they will provide you with the grip you need to feel strong and connected while moving through the class. We have sticky socks in the studio that can be purchased when you arrive.
Is there a Studio Hygiene Policy?
Yes, we are a group studio in close quarters. It is important that everyone practices good personal hygiene in order for us to keep our space comfortable, safe, and healthy. Please arrive fresh and clean to all of your classes. Out of respect for the close quarters nature of our studio, we ask that you practice good personal hygiene before each class. Please wear freshly laundered clothing. Additionally, because we operate in an intimate space and some client or staff may have sensitivities, please minimize the use of strong perfumes, colognes, or heavily scented body lotions. Applying lotion, in general, can make the class unpleasant as you might find yourself slipping and sliding throughout it. Saving your lotion application for after class can prevent this.
Anything I shouldn’t do?
As mentioned above, we ask that you wear equipment-friendly clothes. Clothing with metal details or zippers should be saved for wear outside the studio. Please take your shoes off at the front of the studio as there are no shoes allowed in the carpeted workout spaces. If you are feeling unwell or under the weather, please cancel and reschedule your class.
